UEFA Champions League: Easy Series-Opening Wins For PSG, Galacticos

The opening week of the UEFA Champions League's quarterfinal round concluded on Wednesday with two games.

At Paris:
 2014Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech fails to catch the ball as Paris St Germain's Ezequiel Lavezzi (unseen) scored the first goal for the team during their Champions League quarter-final first leg
Ezequiel Lavezzi (3', that's frustrated Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech after he failed to make the save on that goal), David Luiz (OG-61'), and Javier Pastore (90'+3) each delivered a goal as Paris Saint-Germain defeated visiting Chelsea 3-1 in the opening match of their two-game series with Chelsea.  Eden Hazard's successful 27th-minute kick kept some sort of hope for the Blues in this series.

At Madrid:

Gareth Bale (3', that's him--on the right--celebrating with teammates Daniel Carvajal and Xabi Alonso), Isco (27'), and Cristiano Ronaldo (57') each delivered a goal as Real Madrid, in search of their tenth European club title, dominated visiting Borussia Dortmund 3-0 in the opening match of their two-game series.
