MLS: SKC, Crew, Hoops Grab Saturday Wins

Seven games were contested in Major League Soccer on Saturday.

At Kansas City, Kansas:

Benny Feilhaber (11') and Lawrence Olum (61') provided the scoring as Sporting Kansas City held off the visiting Los Angeles Galaxy 2-1.

At Harrison, New Jersey:

Steven Lenhart's equalizer in the 85th minute lifted the San Jose Earthquakes to a 1-1 road draw with the New York Red Bulls.  Bradley Wright-Phillips successfully converted a penalty kick for the hosts in the 33rd minute.

At Columbus, Ohio:

Bernardo Anor scored twice in the second half (56', 75') as the Columbus Crew came from behind to defeat the visiting Montreal Impact 2-1.

At Bridgeview, Illinois:

Sebastien Le Toux's successful penalty kick in the opening minute of second-half stoppage time lifted the Philadelphia Union to a 1-1 road draw with the Chicago Fire.  Jeff Larentowicz scored for the hosts in the 60th minute.

At Frisco, Texas:

Andres Escobar (29') and Tesho Akindele (90'+1) delivered the goals as FC Dallas blanked the visiting, slumping New England Revolution 2-0.

At Houston:

Gilberto (18') and Dominic Oduro (45'+2) each scored a goal as Toronto FC gained a 2-2 road deadlock with the Houston Dynamo.  Will Bruin (11') and Giles Barnes (26') each scored once for the hosts.


At Sandy, Utah:

Joao Plata's equalizer in the 81st minute enabled Real Salt Lake to salvage a 1-1 home draw with the Vancouver Whitecaps.  Darren Mattocks successfully converted a penalty kick for the guests in the 73rd minute.
