Europa League Qualifying

29 games were played on Thursday as the third round of Europa League qualifying came to a conclusion.

At Larnaca, Cyprus:

Renato Steffen (36') and Michael Frey (66') each scored a goal as BSC Young Boys blanked Ermis Aradippou 2-0 on the road in game two and took out the Cypriot club 3-0 on aggregate.

At Odessa, Ukraine:

A 0-0 game-two deadlock on the road was good enough for RNK Split as the Croatian club eliminated FC Chornomorets Odessa 2-0 on aggregate.

At Krasnodar, Russia:

Pape Konate scored twice (30', 55') as FC Krasnodar dominated visiting Diosgyor 3-0 in game two and handily ousted the Hungarian club 8-1 on aggregate.

At Molde, Norway:

Vegard Forren committed what proved to be a fatal error as his own goal in the 89th minute lifted FC Zorya Luhansk to a 2-1 game-two road win over Molde FK, enabling the Ukrainian club to take the series 3-2 on aggregate.

At Liberec, Czech Republic:

Sadat Bukari scored the game-winning goal in the 89th minute as FC Astra Giurgiu won game two 3-2 on the road against FC Slovan Liberec.  The Romanian club had an easier time winning the series on aggregate by a score of 6-2.

At Esbjerg, Denmark:

Lukasz Surma scored the series-winning goal in second-half stoppage time (90'+5) as Ruch Chorzow came back to gain a 2-2 game-two road draw with Esbjerg fB and, with the aggregate score also at 2-2, won their series with the Danish club on away goals.

At Trondheim, Norway:

Hakan Ozmert scored the series-winning goal in the 35th minute as Karabukspor gained a 1-1 game-two road draw with Rosenborg and ousted the Norwegian club by that same score on aggregate due to the away goals rule.

At Sankt Polten, Austria:

Jurgen Locadia (28'), Memphis Depay (69'), and Luuk de Jong (70') delivered the goals as PSV Eindhoven defeated SKN St. Pollen 3-2 on the road in game two and won their series with the Austrian club 4-2 on aggregate.

At Poznan, Poland:

A 0-0 game-two road stalemate with Lech Poznan was good enough for Stjarnan as the Icelandic club won their series 1-0 on aggregate.

At Solna, Sweden:

Foxi Kethevoama (36'), Dmitriy Shomko (54'), and Baurzhan Dzholchiev (71') each scored once as FC Astana dominated AIK Solna 3-0 on the road in game two and ousted the Swedish club 4-1 on aggregate.

At Barysaw, Belarus:

Starhei Balanovich scored twice in the first half (7', 42') as FC Shakhtyor Salihorsk gained a 2-2 home draw in game two with SV Zulte-Waregem, more than good enough for the Belorussian club to take two-match series 7-4 on aggregate.

At Nicosia, Cyprus:

In a match which was transplanted from Israel due to the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict, Kevin Kuranyi (PK-22') and Alexei Ionov (30') provided the scoring as Dynamo Moscow defeated Ironi Kiryat Shmona 2-1 on the road in game two and won their series 3-2 on aggregate.

At Tbilisi, Georgia:

Ernest N'For delivered a hat trick (16', 27', 38') as Neftchi Baku defeated FC Chikhura Sachkhere 3-2 on the road in game two and won the series by that same goal on aggregate.

At Zlate Moravce, Slovakia:

Martin Mikovic scored in the 82nd minute to lift FC Spartak Trnava to a 1-1 home draw with St. Johnstone in game two and a 3-2 aggregate victory over the Scottish club.

At Cluj-Napoca, Romania:

Goals courtesy of Ihar Stasevich (71') and Chigozie Udoji (PK-81') carried FC Dinamo Minsk to a 2-0 game-two road victory over CFR Cluj and a 3-0 aggregate victory for the series.

At Split, Croatia:

Tino-Sven Susic (14'), Anton Maglica (36'), and Sandro Gotal (90'+5) enabled Hajduk Split to overcome their 4-2 series-opening road defeat with a 3-0 game-two home domination of FC Shakhter Karagandy and win their series 5-4 on aggregate.

At Peristeri, Greece:

After FK Sarajevo outscored hosts Atromitos 2-1 in regulation of game two, thus squaring their two-game series at 3-3 on aggregate (with each team scoring twice on the road), Nemanja Bilbija, who had scored in the 80th minute of regulation in game two,  scored the series-winning goal in overtime (105'+1) for the Bosnian club who took the series 4-3 on aggregate.

At Plzen, Czech Republic:

Filipe Teixeira (20'), Adrian Mutu (38'), Pablo de Lucas Torres (43'), and Toto Tamuz (69') each delivered a goal as FC Petrolul Ploiesti dominated FC Vikotia Plzen 4-1 on the road in game two and took their two-match series 5-2 on aggregate.

At Brondby, Denmark:

Nicolas Castillo (38') and Fernando Menegazzo (45'+1) each scored a goal as Club Brugge blanked Brondby IF 2-0 on the road in game two and eliminated the Danish club 5-0 on aggregate.

At Tripoli, Greece:

Pablo Mazza scored twice (68', 86') as Asteras Tripoli FC overcame their series-opening 1-0 defeat in Germany with a 3-1 home win in game two against FSV Mainz 05 and ousted the German club 3-2 on aggregate.

At Lyon France:

Alexandre Lacazette (58') and Clinton N'Jie (89') provided the scoring as Lyon defeated visiting FK Mlada Boleslav  2-1 in game two and won their two-match series with the Czech club 6-2 on aggregate.

At Kingston upon Hull, England:

Sone Aluko scored the game---and series---winner in the 80th minute as Hull City defeated visiting Trencin 2-1 in game two and, by that same score on aggregate, won their two-game series on aggregate to advance to the playoff round.

At Turin, Italy:

Kristinn Jonsson's own goal in the fourth minute got the scoring going for Torino as four goal scorers each tallied once for The Bull, who demolished visiting IF Brommapojkarna 4-0 in game two and finished their two-match beatdown of the Swedish club 7-0 on aggregate.

At Hafnarfjordur, Iceland:

Despite dropping a 2-1 game-two road decision to FH Hafnarfjordur, Sweden's IF Elfsborg still won their two-match series 5-3 on aggregate.

At Skopje, Macedonia:

Nuno Assis delivered the only goal of the match in the 54th minute as AC Omonia defeated FK Metalurg Skopje 1-0 on the road in game two and ousted the Macedonian club 4-0 on aggregate.

At Aberdeen, Scotland:

Xabi Pietro scored twice (28', PK-86') while Markel Bergara Larranaga put a capper on things in the first minute of second-half stoppage time as Real Sociedad defeated Aberdeen 3-2 on the road in game two and knocked out the Scottish club 5-2 on aggregate.

At Vila do Conde, Portugal:

A 0-0 home stalemate in the second match of their series with IFK Gothenburg was good enough for Rio Ave as the Portuguese club won their two-game series 1-0 on aggregate.

At Chisinau, Moldova:

Despite a 1-0 home defeat in game two, FC Zimbru Chisinau, with the aggregate score at 2-2, still won their series with Austria's SV Grodig on away goals.

At Rijeka, Croatia:

Adis Jahovic delivered a natural hat trick (39', 49', 64') as HNK Rijeka demolished visiting Vikingur 4-0 in game two and completed their two-match frontier-styled fist-beating of the Faroese club 9-1 on aggregate.
