After a 1-1 deadlock through regulation time, followed by 30 minutes of scoreless overtime, Sheanon Williams, Vincent Nogueira, Cristian Maidana, and Maurice Edu all converted their spot kicks as the visiting Philadelphia Union won the penalty-kick shootout 4-3 over FC Dallas on Tuesday to advance to the final of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup tournament, which they will host. Philly, playing in their first-ever final, will take on the winner of Wednesday's Chicago Fire-Seattle Sounders semifinal, which will take place at Tukwila, Washington.
