Goals from Alvaro Saborio (PK-36') and Kyle Beckerman (74') carried Real Salt Lake to a 2-0 regular-season concluding home win over Chivas USA in the lone Wednesday Major League Soccer contest. The win put RSL in third place in the Western Conference standings, ahead of FC Dallas. RSL goalkeeper Nick Rimando added to his all-time MLS shutout record with his 115th clean sheet. As for the Hoops, they must defeat Portland at home on Saturday to nail down third place and avoid the opening round fourth vs. fifth-place playoff game.
