At Bridgeview, Illinois:
The Montreal Impact held the Chicago Fire to a 0-0 stalemate and eliminated the hosts from the playoff race.
At Carson, California:
Felix Borja scored the only goal of the match in the 47th minute as Chivas USA snapped their seven-match losing skid with a 1-0 home win over Real Salt Lake, preventing the visitors from locking up a playoff berth.
