CAF Champions League

First-round action in the CAF Champions League continued on Sunday with the opening game of each of six two-game series.

At Algiers:

Mohamed Rabie Metfah scored twice (PK-53', 81') as USM Alger demolished visiting AS Pikine 5-1 in the opening contest of their two-game series.

At Omdurman, Sudan:

Mudather El Tahir scored twice (9', 50') in Al-Hilal Omdurman's series-opening 4-0 home demolition of Malawi's Big Bullets FC.

At Douala, Cameroon:

Esperance ST took the opening match of their two-game series with Cosmos de Bafia 1-0 on the road.  Harrison Afful scored in the 89th minute for the Tunisian club.

At Lome, Togo:

CS Sfaxien all but locked up a berth in the Round of 16 with their series-opening 5-0 road demolition of AC Semassi.  Five goal scorers, beginning with Hamza Hadda in the 11th minute, each tallied once.

At Aba, Nigeria:

Enyimba International FC, with Rafael Boumsong scoring in the 52nd minute,  posted a series-opening 1-0 home win over Smouha Sporting Club of Egypt.

At Nairobi, Kenya:

AC Leopards took the opening match of their series with Gor Mahia 1-0 on the road.  Cesaire Gandze scored for the club from the Republic of the Congo in the 50th minute.
