MLS: 10-Man Quakes End Winless Run, Shock Sounders In Seattle; Hoops, Caps, Crew Pick Up Wins; RSL and Philly Draw

Five Major League Soccer matches were contested on Saturday.

At Bridgeview, Illinois:

Raul Octavio Rivero scored the only goal of the match in the 86th minute as the Vancouver Whitecaps defeated the Chicago Fire 1-0 on the road.

At Columbus, Ohio:

Justin Meram (57') and Kei Kamara (61') delivered the goals as the Columbus Crew defeated visiting ten-man Toronto FC 2-0.

At Frisco, Texas:

Blas Perez scored twice (17', 52') as FC Dallas defeated visiting Sporting Kansas City 3-1.


At Sandy, Utah:

Goals from Javier Morales (29'), Jamison Olave (55'), and Alvaro Saborio (PK-86') each scored a goal as Real Salt Lake came from behind to salvage a 3-3 home draw with the Philadelphia Union.  Fernando Aristeguita scored twice (34', 38') and the aforementioned Jamison Olave (OG-58') provided the scoring for the guests.

At Seattle:

Chris Wondolowski scored twice (13', 48') and Innocent Emeghara once (70') as the San Jose Earthquakes, despite playing the last 40 minutes with only ten men, snapped a 16-match winless streak with a 3-2 road victory over the Seattle Sounders.
