UEFA Champions League: Monaco Oust Gunners Despite 2-0 Game-Two Home Defeat; El Nino's Successful Spot Kick Lifts Mattress Makers Into Quarterfinals

Two games were played on Tuesday as UEFA Champions League Round of 16 action resumed.

At Fontvieille, Monaco:
Monaco survive Arsenal onslaught to advance
Despite a 2-0 game-two home defeat to Arsenal, AS Monaco, with the aggregate score at 3-3, advanced to the quarterfinal round on away goals.  Here's the Gunners' Olivier Giroud reacting to another Arsenal near miss.

At Madrid:

Mario Suarez scored in the 27th minute as Atletico Madrid bested visiting Bayer Leverkusen 1-0 as regulation time in game two expire, deadlocking the series at 1-1 on aggregate.  After 30 scoreless overtime minutes, Fernando Torres delivered the series-winning spot kick (that's him celebrating) as the Mattress Makers won the penalty-kick shootout 3-2 and advanced to the quarterfinal round.
