CAF Champions League

Five games were played on Sunday as the second round of the CAF Champions League concluded.

At Bamako, Mali:

In a match that was transferred from Guinea due to Ebola concerns, Carolus Andriamatsinoro's goal in the 53rd minute proved vital as USM Alger gained a 1-1 game-two road draw with AS Kaloum and won their series 3-2 on aggregate.

At Omdurman, Sudan:

A second 1-0 victory for Al-Hilal Omdurman against SM Sanga Balende carried the Sudanese club to a 2-0 aggregate victory and a group-stage berth.

At Rades, Tunisia:

A game-two 2-1 road win for Al-Merrikh enabled the Sudanese club to eliminate Esperance ST, with the aggregate score at 2-2, on away goals.

At Sfax, Tunisia:

After dropping a 1-0 game-two regulation road decision to CS Sfaxien, thus squaring their series at 1-1 on aggregate, MC El Eulma won the penalty-kick shootout 7-6 and advanced to the group stage.

At Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo:

A 2-1 game-two home win against Stade Malien enabled TP Mazembe to win their series 4-3 on aggregate.

All clubs that were eliminated on Sunday will play in the CAF Confederation Cup's playoff round.
