MLS: Dynamo Spoil Reds' Home Opener; BWP Carries Red Bulls Past City In Inaugural Edition Of Hudson River Derby

Two games were played in Major League Soccer on Sunday.

At Toronto:

Oscar Boniek Garcia (44') and Will Bruin (53') provided the scoring as the Houston Dynamo defeated Toronto FC 2-1 on the road, spoiling the Reds' home opener at newly-renovated BMO Field.

At Harrison, New Jersey:

Bradley Wright-Phillips scored twice (4', 52') as the New York Red Bulls, despite playing the last 54 with ten men, held off visiting New York City 2-1 in the inaugural edition of the Hudson River Derby.
