MLS: RSL, Timbers, Caps, Crew, Hoops Gain Saturday Wins; SKC and DCU Draw

Six games were contested in Major League Soccer on Saturday.

At Bridgeview, Illinois:

Alvaro Saborio (14') and Luke Mulholland (56') each scored a goal as Real Salt Lake defeated the Chicago Fire 2-1 on the road.

At Montreal:

With goals courtesy of Nat Borchers (64') and Diego Valeri (70'), the Portland Timbers held off the home-standing Montreal Impact 2-1.

At Washington:

Dom Dwyer's equalizer in the 45th minute lifted Sporting Kansas City to a 1-1 road draw with DC United.  Jairo Arrieta scored for the hosts in the 42nd minute.

At Vancouver, British Columbia:

Pedro Morales (32'), Octavio Rivero (44'), and Darren Mattocks (81') each scored once as the Vancouver Whitecaps dominated the visiting ten-man Philadelphia Union 3-0.

At Columbus, Ohio:

Kei Kamara scored twice (10', 58') as the Columbus Crew knocked off the visiting Seattle Sounders 3-2.

At Frisco, Texas:

Tesho Akindele scored the winning goal in the 86th minute as FC Dallas came from behind to upend the visiting Los Angeles Galaxy 2-1.
