MLS: Reds, Impact, Rapids, RSL Grab Saturday Wins; Revs and DCU Draw; Goose Eggs In Seattle

Six games were played on Saturday in Major League Soccer.

At Toronto:

Sebastian Giovinco scored the only goal of the match in the fifth minute as Toronto FC defeated the visiting Portland Timbers 1-0.

At Foxborough, Massachusetts:

Despite two second-half ejections, the New England Revolution still managed a 1-1 home draw with DC United.  Charlie Davies put the Revs in the lead with his goal in the opening half of first-half stoppage time, only to see Jairo Arrieta equalize for the guests in the 80th minute.

At Montreal:

Jack McInerney scored the winning goal in the 50th minute as the Montreal Impact knocked off visiting FC Dallas 2-1.

At Commerce City, Colorado:

Lucas Pittinari scored the only goal of the match in the 51st minute as the Colorado Rapids ended their MLS-record 18-game home winless streak with a 1-0 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps.

At Seattle:

The contest between the Seattle Sounders and visiting Sporting Kansas City concluded in a 0-0 stalemate.

At Sandy, Utah:

John Stertzer (25') and Alvaro Saborio (49') as Real Salt Lake blanked visiting New York City 2-0, stretching the Citizens' winless run to ten games.
