MLS: Saturday Wins For Reds, DCU, Revs; Rapids Hold Hosts Galaxy To 1-1 Draw; Scoreless Cascadia Cup Clash Between Timbers And Caps In Rose City

Five games were played in Major League Soccer on Saturday.

At Chester, Pennsylvania:

Sebastian Giovinco scored the only goal of the match in the 34th minute as Toronto FC knocked off the reeling Philadelphia Union 1-0 on the road.

At Washington:

Fabian Espindola (15') and Sean Franklin (41') delivered the goals as DC United blanked the visiting Columbus Crew 2-0.

At Foxborough, Massachusetts:

Teal Bunbury scored what proved to be the winning goal in the 60th minute as the New England Revolution defeated the visiting---and previously-unbeaten---New York Red Bulls 2-1.

At Carson, California:

Alan Grdon's equalizer in the 75th minute lifted the Los Angeles Galaxy to a 1-1 home draw with the Colorado Rapids. Gabriel Torres scored for the guests in the 40th minute. 

At Portland, Oregon:

The Cascadia Cup clash between the Portland Timbers and the visiting Vancouver Whitecaps ended in a 0-0 stalemate.  Darlington Nagbe had a chance to put the Timbers on the scoreboard in the 31st minute, only to see his penalty kick hit the right post and not bounce in.
