Michael Arroyo scored the only goal of the match in the 71st minute as Club America placed themselves in command of Group E following their 1-0 home win over Walter Ferreti of Nicaragua.

At Seattle:

Goals from Eric Friberg (90') and Brad Evans (90'+7) enabled the Seattle Sounders to come from behind and upend visiting CD Olimpia 2-1.

Miguel Aguilar scored the only goal of the match in the 85th minute as DC United defeated Club Deportivo Arabe Unido 1-0 on the road.
