RIVER PLATE CROWN TIGRES, CAPTURE THIRD COPA LIBERTADORES CROWN

At Buenos Aires:

Lucas Alario (45'), Carlos Sanchez (PK-75'), and Ramiro Funes Mori (79') each scored a goal on Wednesday night as River Plate dominated visiting Tigres 3-0 in game two of the Copa Libertadores Final and took the series by the same score on aggregate as the Argentinian club won their third South American club championship.

With a Mexican club in the final (Mexico belongs to CONCACAF, not CONMEBOL), River Plate had already assured themselves of the right to represent South America in December's FIFA Club World Cup, set to take place in Japan.
