Europa League

24 games were played as group-stage action in the Europa League resumed.

GROUP A:

At Glasgow, Scotland:

Fernandao scored twice (43', 48') as Fenerbahce came back from two goals down to gain a 2-2 road draw with Celtic. Leigh Griffiths (28') and Kris Commons (32') each tallied once for the Bhoys.

At Molde, Norway:

Viktor Fischer's equalizer in the 19th minute lifted Ajax Amsterdam to a 1-1 road draw with Molde FK.  Eirik Hestad scored for the hosts in the eighth minute.

At Kazan, Russia:

Bordeaux held hosts Rubin Kazan to a 0-0 stalemate.

At Liverpool, England:

Ebenezer Assifuah's equalizer in the 18th minute lifted FC Sion to a 1-1 road draw with Liverpool.  Adam Lallana scored for the Reds at four minutes.

NOTE:  Liverpool scored an away goal in their 1-1 deadlock with Bordeuax.



GROUP C:

At Krasnodar, Russia:

Fyodor Smolov scored the winning goal in the 84th minute as FC Krasnodar defeated visiting Gabala FK 1-0.

At Thessaloniki, Greece:

Gonzalo Castro delivered the equalizer in the 72nd minute to carry Borussia Dortmund to a 1-1 road draw with PAOK FC.  Robert Mak scored in the 34th minute for the hosts.

Paul Onuachu scored what proved to be the game winner in the 67th minute as FC Midtjylland knocked off Club Brugge 3-1 on the road.

At Warsaw, Poland:

Dries Mertens (53') and Gonzalo Higuain (84') produced the goals as Napoli shut out Legia Warsaw 2-0 on the road.

Steffen Hofmann scored the only goal of Rapid Vienna's 1-0 road win over Dinamo Minsk in the 54th minute.

At Villarreal, Spain:

Leo Baptistao scored the only goal of the match in the 54th minute as Villarreal defeated visiting FC Viktoria Plzen 1-0.

Vladimir Coufal came through for FC Slovan Liberec with his goal in the 84th minute as the Czech club knocked off hosts Marseille 1-0.

At Braga, Portugal:

Ahmed Hassan Mahgoub's fifth-minute goal held up as Sporting Braga defeated visiting FC Groningen 1-0.

2. FC Slovan Liberec (GP: 2; GD: 0; PTS: 3)

At Trondheim, Norway:

Yevhen Seleznyov scored the only goal of the match in the 80th minute as FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk knocked off Rosenborg 1-0 on the road.

At Rome:

Lucas Biglia scored the winning goal in the 80th minute as Lazio held off visiting Saint-Etienne 3-2.

Gokhan Tore's equalizer in the 61st minute enabled Besiktas to salvage a 1-1 home draw with Sporting CP.  Bryan Ruiz scored in the 16th minute for the Lions.

At Moscow:

Baye Oumar Niasse (35') and Aleksandr Samedov (73') each produced a goal as Lokomotiv Moscow blanked visiting Skenderbeu Korce 2-0.

Federico Bernardeschi got the scoring started in the 18th minute as Fiorentina demolished Belenenses 4-0 on the road.

At Basel, Switzerland:

Birkir Bjamason (55') and Breel Embolo (90') each scored once as FC Basel blanked visiting Lech Poznan 2-0.

Stephan El Shaarawy's equalizer in the 81st minute carried AS Monaco to a 1-1 home draw with Tottenham Hotspur.  Erik Lamela scored for Spurs in the 35th minute.

Franco Di Santo delivered a natural first-half hat trick (28', 37', PK-44') as Schalke 04 mauled visiting Asteras Tripoli 4-0.

Andrija Zivkovic scored twice (31', 62') as  ten-man Partizan Belgrade downed FC Augsburg 3-1 on the road.

At Alkmaar, Netherlands:

Eneko Boveda's own goal in the 65th minute proved costly as AZ Alkmaar defeated visiting Athletic Bilbao 2-1.
