As was the case with the Ventura County Fusion's (PDL) first-round victory over the Los Angeles Wolves (USASA) in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup tournament last week, The Villages SC (PDL) road win on Wednesday over the Charleston Battery (USL) was overturned.
As was with the Ventura County Fusion last week, the visiting PDL club from Florida was caught with a player who was cup-tied.
The Battery will visit the Jacksonville Armada of the NASL in a third-round contest on June 1 at 4:00 PM Pacific Time. The winner will host Major League Soccer's Orlando City on June 15.
