MLS: Red Bulls Gore Citizens In The Bronx; Fire End Winless Run; Hoops, Lions, RSL, Rapids Grab Saturday Wins As Well

Seven games were contested on Saturday in Major League Soccer.

At New York:

Dax McCarty (3', 51') and Bradley Wright-Phillips (42', 45'+2) each scored twice as the New York Red Bulls obliterated home-standing New York City 7-0.

At Bridgeview, Illinois:

Arturo Alvarez's goal in the third minute held up as the Chicago Fire snapped a six-match winless streak to defeating the visiting Houston Dynamo 1-0.

At Toronto:

Despite combining for 22 shots, Toronto FC and the visiting Columbus Crew battled to a 0-0 stalemate.

At Orlando, Florida:

Cyle Larin scored twice (43', 87') as Orlando City came from behind to upend the visiting Montreal Impact 2-1.

At Foxborough, Massachusetts:

Tesho Akindele scored twice (PK-5', 90') as FC Dallas doubled up the New England Revolution 4-2 on the road.

At Kansas City, Kansas:

Goals from Juan Manuel Martinez (32'), Brad Davis (OG-45'+2), and Yura Movsisyan (53') carried Real Salt Lake to a 3-1 road victory over Sporting Kansas City.

At Seattle:

Axel Sjoberg scored the only goal of the match in the 43rd minute as the Colorado Rapids knocked off the Seattle Sounders 1-0 on the road.
