In the lone Thursday quarterfinal-round contest in the European Championship, after a 1-1 draw at the regulation, which was followed by thirty scoreless overtime minutes, Cristiano Ronaldo, Renato Sanches (who scored in the 33rd minute of regulation, which was by this celebration pictured above), Joao Moutinho, Nani, and Ricardo Quaresma all converted their spot kicks as Portugal defeated Poland 5-3 in the penalty-kick shootout. Portuguese goalkeeper Rui Patricio made the big save of the shootout as he saved Jakub Blaszczykowski's spot kick.
