At Saint-Etienne:

England laid claim to second place in Group B and a knockout-stage berth by playing Slovakia to a 0-0 stalemate.  The Slovaks finish third in Group B and have a fighting chance of advancing as well.

Final Group B Standings:

1. Wales (GP: 3; GD: +3; PTS: 6)
2. England (GP: 3; GD: +1; PTS: 5)
3. Slovakia (GP: 3; GD: 0; PTS: 4)
4. Russia (GP: 3; GD: -4; PTS; 1)

Wales and England advanced to the knockout round, while Slovakia, who finished third, have a legitimate shot at advancing as one of the four third-place teams with the best records.
