Europa League Qualifying: Dons, Cork City, Nomads Advance

The opening round of Europa League qualifying concluded on Thursday with 43 games.

At Marijampole, Lithuania:

Filip Novak scored the only goal of the match in the 16th minute as FC Midtjylland registered a second 1-0 victory over FK Suduva as the Danish club took the series 2-0 on aggregate.

At Fredrikstad, Norway:

Callum Morris scored the lone goal of both the game and series in the 15th minute as Connah's Quay Nomads upended Stabaek 1-0 on the road in game two and by that same score on aggregate.

At Toffir, Faroe Islands:

Antons Jemelins (PK-57') and Girts Karlsons (90'+2) produced the goals as Ventspils registered a second 2-0 victory over Vikingur Gota, this time on the road, and ousted the Faroese club 4-0 on aggregate.

At Cork, Ireland:

Sean Maguire converted a penalty kick in the 49th minute as Cork City, with a 1-1 game-two home draw with Linfield, won their series 2-1 on aggregate.

At Torshavn, Faroe Islands:

Yevgeni Kobzar (71') and Anton Miranchuk (90'+2) delivered the goals as Levadia Tallin blanked HB 2-0 on the road in game two and won their series 3-1 on aggregate.

At Helsinki, Finland:

Taye Taiwo converted a penalty kick in the 30th minute as HJK Helsinki gained a 1-1 game-two home draw with Atlantas, good enough for the Finnish club to finish off their Lithuanian guests 3-1 on aggregate.

At Bangor, Wales:

Martin Smedberg-Dalence (36') and Victor Skold (54') each scored a goal as IFK Gothenburg defeated Llandudno 2-1 on the road in game two and completed their two-match beat-down of the Welsh club 7-1 on aggregate.

At Lurgan, Northern Ireland:

Kennie Chopart scored twice (6', 29') as KR Reykjavik destroyed Glenavon 6-0 on the road in game two and took the series 8-1 on aggregate.

At Rovaniemi, Finland:

Eetu Muinonen scored in the 26th minute as RoPS advanced to the second qualifying round after their 1-1 game-two draw with Shamrock Rovers which carried the Finnish club to a 3-1 aggregate victory.

At Brondby, Denmark:

Daniel Stuckler scored twice (71', 90'+3) as Brondby demolished visiting Valur 6-0 in game two and completed their two-game annihilation of the Icelandic club 10-1 on aggregate.

At Luxembourg City:

Despite dropping a 1-0 game-two road decision to Fola Esch, Aberdeen still won their two-game series 3-2 on aggregate.

At Tallinn, Estonia:

Tarmo Neemelo scored twice in the final minutes (87', 90'+2) to carry Nomme Kalju to a 4-1 domination of visiting Trakai in game two, enabling the Estonian club to overcome their series-opening road defeat and overtake the Lithuanian club 5-3 on aggregate.

At Jurmala, Latvia:

Uladzimir Khvashchynski (11') and Mohamed El-Monir (90'+1) each scored once as Dinamo Minsk blanked Spartaks Jurmala 2-0 on the road in game two and won their series 4-1 on aggregate.

At Jelgava, Latvia:

Danils Turkovs (15') and Abdoulaye Diallo (70') each scored a goal as Jelgava gained a 2-2 game-two home draw with Breidablik and eliminated the Icelandic club 5-4 on aggregate.

At Salihorsk, Belarus:

Five different goal scorers----starting with Ihar Burko in the 20th minute----each tallied once as Shakhtyor Soligorsk dismembered visiting NSI Runavik 5-0 in game two and finished off the Faroese club 7-0 on aggregate.

At Rhyl, Wales:

Denni Avdic (8') and Carlos Strandberg (24') each tallied once as AIK Solna produced a second 2-0 victory, this time on the road, at Bala Town's expense and won their series 4-0 on aggregate.

At Belfast, Northern Ireland:

David McDaid (2') and Jay Donnelly (75') produced the scoring as Cliftonville blanked visiting Differdange 03 2-0 in game two and took out the club from Luxembourg 3-1 on aggregate.

At Mariehamm, Finland:

Chukwuma Akabueze scored in the 78th minute to carry Odds BK to a game-two 1-1 road draw with IFK Mariehamm and a 3-1 series aggregate victory.

At Andorra la Vella, Andorra:

Zan Majer (4') and Benjamin Morel (42') each scored once as Domzale defeated Lusitanos 2-1 on the road in game two and won their series 5-2 on aggregate.
