MLS: Red Bulls Clinch Playoff Berth; Reds and Citizens Likewise; DCU, SKC, Dynamo Also Win

Seven games were contested in Major League Soccer on Saturday.

At Toronto:

Justin Morrow's equalizer in the 70th minute lifted Toronto FC to a 1-1 home draw with the Philadelphia Union. Alejandro Bedoya scored for the hosts in the 25th minute.

At Washington:

Patrick Mullins scored twice (34', 53') as DC United dominated visiting Orlando City 4-1.

At Harrison, New Jersey:

Daniel Royer scored the only goal of the match in the 60th minute as the New York Red Bulls defeated the visiting Montreal Impact 1-0.  The Red Bulls' victory locked up their seventh consecutive playoff berth.  It also sealed post-season places for Toronto FC and New York City (who will be making their playoff debut in their second season).

At Vancouver, British Columbia:

Kendall Waston (51'), Pedro Morales (70'), and Erik Hurtado (90'+3) each scored once as the Vancouver Whitecaps, who finished the match with ten men, overcame three one-goal deficits and gained a 3-3 home draw with the Colorado Rapids.
Shkelzen Gashi scored twice (57', 75') and Dominique Badji once (8') for the guests.

At Houston:

Mauro Manotas delivered a hat trick (PK-34', 73', 85') as the Houston Dynamo downed the visiting Portland Timbers 3-1.

At Sandy, Utah:

Real Salt Lake and visiting DC Dallas battled to a 0-0 stalemate.

At San Jose, California:

Dom Dwyer (7') and Kevin Ellis (81') each scored once as Sporting Kansas City defeated the San Jose Earthquakes 2-1 on the road.  It was Sporting's first road victory over the Quakes since 2000 when they were the Kansas City Wizards.
