MLS: Red Bulls, Crew, DCU, Revs, Hoops, Rapids, Quakes Land Saturday Wins; Rapids and Galaxy Clinch Playoff Berths

Seven games were contested on Saturday in Major League Soccer.

At Harrison, New Jersey:

Dax McCarty scored once (66') and assisted twice (on goals from Sacha Kljestan and Bradley Wright-Phillips in the 44th and 47th minutes respectively) as the New York Red Bulls seized top spot in the Eastern Conference following their 3-2 home win over the Philadelphia Union.

At Columbus, Ohio:

Harrison Afful (8'), Justin Meram (50'), and Dilly Duka (59') each scored once as the Columbus Crew dominated the visiting Chicago Fire 3-0 to keep their flickering playoff chances alive.

At Toronto:

Lamar Neagle scored twice (39', 58') as DC United helped their playoff chances with a 2-1 come-from-behind road win over Toronto FC.

At Foxborough, Massachusetts:

Goals from Kei Kamara (4'), Kevin Ellis (OG-75'), and Juan Agudelo (83') propelled the New England Revolution past visiting Sporting Kansas City 3-1.

At Frisco, Texas:

Walker Zimmerman scored the only goal of the match in the 39th minute as FC Dallas drew themselves closer to the Supporters' Shield after defeating the visiting Los Angeles Galaxy (who still clinched a playoff berth) 1-0.

At Commerce City, Colorado:

Sebastian Le Toux scored the only goal of the match in the 63rd minute as the Colorado Rapids laid claim to their first playoff berth in three years with a 1-0 home victory over the still-winless-on-the-road-in-MLS-play Portland Timbers.

At San Jose, California:

Fatai Alashe scored the winning goal in the 72nd minute as the San Jose Earthquakes kept their playoff chances alive by knocking off visiting Real Salt Lake 2-1, snapping a seven-match winless skid.
