UEFA Champions League, Group E: Monaco Knock Off Spurs, Advance To Knockout Stage

Group-stage play in the UEFA Champions League resumed with eight games on Tuesday, two of them in Group E.

At Moscow:

Kevin Volland scored in the 16th minute as Bayer Leverkusen gained a 1-1 road draw with CSKA Moscow.  The draw clinched a berth in the knockout stage for the German club. Bibras Natklho scored for the Horses in the 78th minute by successfully converting a penalty kick.  Still, the hosts were eliminated from the tournament.  Here's Kevin being observed by his coach, Roger Schmidt.

At Fontvieille, Monaco:

Thomas Lemar scored the game-winning goal in the 53rd minute as AS Monaco locked up the top spot in Group E by defeating visiting Tottenham Hotspur 2-1, knocking the English club out of the tournament. In the above photo, we see Monaco's Kamil Glik battle Spurs' Son Hueng-min for the ball.
