CONCACAF Champions League: Red Bulls And Caps Draw In Series Opener; Tigres And Pumas Likewise In Mexican Cat Fight

Two games were contested Wednesday in the quarterfinal round of the CONCACAF Champions League.

At Harrison, New Jersey:

Bradley Wright-Phillips' equalizer in the 62nd minute enabled the New York Red Bulls to salvage a series-opening 1-1 home draw with the Vancouver Whitecaps.  Kekuta Manneh scored for the guests in the 39th minute.

At San Nicolas de los Garza, Mexico:

Matias Britos's equalizer in the 62nd minute lifted UNAM Pumas to a series-opening 1-1 road draw with Tigres.  Eduardo Vargas scored for the hosts at 41 minutes.
