The second qualifying round of Copa Libertadores qualifying reached its' midway point on Thursday with three games.
At Montevideo, Uruguay:
Alejandro Chumacero (9') and Matias Alonso (61') each scored once as The Strongest (Bolivia) blanked Montevideo Wanderers 2-0 on the road in the opening match of their two-game series.
At Sangolqui, Ecuador:
Juan Pablo Segovia scored the only goal of the match in the 36th minute as Independiente del Valle took their series opener with Paraguay's Club Olimpia 1-0 at home.
At Capiata, Paraguay:
Hernan Rengifo scored what proved to be the game winner in the 29th minute as Peru's Universitario de Deportes knocked off Deportivo Capiata 3-1 in their series opener on the road.
