AFC Champions League

Eight games were contested in AFC Champions League group-stage play on Tuesday.

GROUP B:

At Ahvaz, Iran:

Esteghlal Khuzestan played visiting Lekhwiya battled to a 1-1 stalemate.  Hassan Beit Saeid scored for the hosts in the eighth minute by successfully converting a penalty kick, but Ismail Mohamad equalized for the Qatari club in the 11th minute.

At Al-Hasa, Saudi Arabia:

Ali Al Zaqan scored twice (12', 50') as Al-Fateh defeated visiting Al-Jazira 3-1.

At Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates:

Newaf Al Abid (5') and Omar Khribid (69') each scored once to carry Al-Hilal to a 2-2 road draw with Al-Wahda.  Sebastian Tagliabue (45'+1) and Balasz Dzsudzsak (54') provided the scoring for the hosts.

At Doha, Qatar:

Rodrigo Barbosa Tabata scored twice (19', 58') as Al-Rayyan defeated visiting Persepolis 3-1.

At Kashima, Japan:

Yuma Suzuki (43'), Naomichi Ueda (76'), and Yasushi Endo (76') each scored once as Kashima Antlers dominated the visiting Brisbane Roar 3-0.

At Ulsan, South Korea:

Muangthong United held hosts Ulsan Hyundai to a 0-0 deadlock.

At Hong Kong:

Johnathan Aparecido da Silva scored the only goal of the match in the 78th minute as Suwon Samsung Bluewings knocked off Eastern Sports Club 1-0 on the road.

At Guangzhou, China:

Yu Kobayashi successfully converted a penalty kick in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time to lift Kawasaki Frontale gained a 1-1 road draw with Guangzhou Evergrande.  Alan Carvalho scored for the hosts at 26 minutes.
