Copa Libertadores: Jorge Wilsermann, Chapecoense, Club Guarani Grab Tuesday Wins; Universidad Catolica Wipe Out 2-Goal Deficit, Gain Road Draw With Atletico Paraenense

Group-stage play in the Copa Libertadores  opened on Tuesday with four games.

GROUP FOUR:

At Curitiba, Brazil:

David Llanos (85') and Ricardo (Don't Call Me Film) Noir (90') each scored once in the waning minutes as Universidad Catolica erased a two-goal deficit and earned a 2-2 road draw with Atletico Paraenense.  Lucho Gonzalez (4') and Nikao (75') each scored once for the hosts.


GROUP FIVE:

At Cochabamba, Bolivia:

Jose Gabriel Rios scored twice (6', 32') as Club Jorge Wilsermann scored thrice in each half for a 6-2 home thrashing of Penarol.



GROUP SEVEN:

At Maracaibo, Venezuela:

Luiz Antonio de Sousa Soares scored the winning goal in the 68th minute as Chapecoense knocked off Zulia FC 2-1 on the road.





GROUP EIGHT:

At Calama, Chile:

Hernan Novick scored the only goal of the match in the 83rd minute as Paraguay's Club Guarani knocked off Deportes Iquique 1-0 on the road.
