Copa Libertadores

Copa Libertadores group-stage play continued with five games on Wednesday.

GROUP THREE:

At Medellin, Colombia:

Sebastian Driussi scored the winning goal in the 33rd minute as River Plate knocked off Independiente Medellin 3-1 on the road.

GROUP FOUR:

At Buenos Aires:

Lucho Gonzalez scored the game's lone goal in the third minute as Atletico Paraenense knocked off San Lorenzo 1-0 on the road.

At Las Condes, Chile:

Santiago Silva's goal in the 74th minute provided all the scoring as Universidad Catolica defeated visiting Flamengo 1-0.

1. Universidad Catolica (GP: 2; GD: +1; PTS: 4)
2. Atletico Paraenense (GP: 2; GD: +1; PTS: 4)
3. Flamengo (GP: 2; GD: +3; PTS: 3)

NOTE:  Universidad Catolica gained a 2-2 road draw with Atletico Paraenense on March 7.

At Sao Paulo, Brazil:

Yerry Mina's score in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time carried Palmeiras to a 1-0 home win over Jorge Wilstermann.

GROUP SEVEN:

Montevideo, Uruguay:

Jefferson Savarino scored the only goal of the match in the 30th minute as Zulia FC defeated Club Nacional 1-0 on the road.
