UEFA Champions League: Monaco, Atletico Advance To Quarterfinals

Two games were contested on Wednesday as the UEFA Champions League's Round of 16 came to a close.

At Fontvieille, Monaco:

Kylian Mbappe (8'), Fabinho (29'), and Tiemoue Bakayoko (77') each scored once as AS Monaco defeated visiting Manchester City 3-1 in game two and, with the aggregate score at 6-6, won the series with the English club on away goals.  Here we see the cheering Monaco fans at Louis II Stadium.

At Madrid:

A 0-0 game-two home stalemate with Bayer Leverkusen was good enough for Atletico Madrid as the Mattress Makers eliminated the German club 4-2 on aggregate to reach the quarterfinal round for the fourth successive year.  Here, we see Atletico's Yannick Carrasco (right) battle Leverkusen's Aleksandar Dragovic for the ball.
