MLS: Fire, Revs, DC, Timbers, RSL, Hoops Gain Saturday Wins; Reds and ATL Draw In Toronto; Quakes and Sounders Likewise In San Jose

Eight games were contested in Major League Soccer on Saturday.

At Bridgeview, Illinois:

Nemanja Nikolic scored the only goal of the match in the 22nd minute as the Chicago Fire snapped the visiting Columbus Crew's three-game winning streak 1-0.

At Foxborough, Massachusetts:

Kei Kamara (52') and Juan Agudelo (72') each scored a second-half goal as the New England Revolution blanked the visiting Houston Dynamo 2-0.

At Washington:

Lloyd Sam (53') and Luciano Acosta (73') each scored once as DC United defeated visiting New York City 2-1.

At Chester, Pennsylvania:

Darlington Nagbe (32'), Roy Miller (66'), and Fanendo Adi (PK-88'; that goal---the 46th of his career---made him the all-time leading goal scorer in franchise history across all eras) carried the Portland Timbers to a 3-1 road victory over the Philadelphia Union.

At Toronto:

Hector Villalba scored twice (15', 47') to help carry Atlanta United to a 2-2 road draw with Toronto FC.  Sebastian Giovinco (20') and Justin Morrow (44') each delivered a goal for the Reds.

At Frisco, Texas:

Javier Morales (43') and Michael Barrios (49') each scored once as FC Dallas blanked visiting Minnesota United 2-0.

At Sandy, Utah:

Albert Rusnak (54'), Yura Movsisyan (74'), and Luke Mulholland (78') each scored a second-half goal as Real Salt Lake broke open what had been a scoreless stalemate at halftime and ended up dominating the visiting Vancouver Whitecaps 3-0.

At San Jose, California:

Chris Wondolowski's equalizer in the 90th minute lifted the San Jose Earthquakes to a 1-1 home draw with the Seattle Sounders.  Nicolas Lodeiro scored for the guests in the 84th minute.
