At Omdurman, Sudan:
Mohamed Abdel Raman scored twice (9', 48') as Al-Merrikh held off visiting Al-Hilal 2-1 in an Omdurman Derby.
GROUP B:
At Sfax, Tunisia (due to ongoing security concerns in Libya):
Anis Mohamed Saltou's equalizer in the 36th minute enabled Al-Ahli Tripoli to gain a 1-1 home draw with USM Alger. Farouk Chafai scored in the 16th minute for the Algerian club.
