At Montreal:
In Wednesday's opening match of the Canadian Championship Final, Jozy Altidore's equalizer in the 30th minute lifted Toronto FC to a 1-1 road draw with the Montreal Impact.
Matteo Mancosu scored for the Impact in the 19th minute.
Ignacio Piatti's penalty kick in the 55th minute, which would have put Montreal back in front, sailed over the crossbar.
The series will conclude next Tuesday in Toronto.
The winner will play in next year's revamped CONCACAF Champions League.
