MLS: Clint Dempsey's Late Equalizer Gains Road Draw In Portland For Sounders In Cascadia Cup Clash

At Seattle:

Clint Dempsey's equalizer in the fourth minute of second-half stoppage time lifted the ten-man Seattle Sounders to a 2-2 Cascadia Cup road draw with the Portland Timbers in the lone Sunday Major League Soccer contest.

Joevin Jones opened the scoring for the Sounders in the 27th minute.

After Seattle's Brad Evans was tossed out of the game with a red-card ejection following his penalty-area takedown of Darlington Nagbe, Fenando Adi scored his 50th career goal for the Timbers with his successful penalty kick in the 45th minute.

Dairon Asprilla scored in the fourth minute of first-time stoppage time to put Portland ahead 2-1.
