MLS: DCU, Loons, Galaxy Grab Wednesday Wins; Late Goal Gains Road Draw For Lions In Seattle

Four games were contested in Major League Soccer on Wednesday.

At Washington:

Luciano Acosta (23') and Patrick Nyarko (60') each scored once as DC United knocked off visiting Atlanta United 2-1.

At Minneapolis:

Abu Danladi scored the winning goal in the 64th minute as Minnesota United defeated the visiting Portland Timbers 3-2 in a contest that saw both clubs reduced to ten men after the aforementioned Mr. Danladi and the Timbers' Sebastian Blanco were ejected via the red card in the 70th and 71st minutes respectively following a kicking tussle on the pitch.

At Commerce City, Colorado:

Jack McBean scored twice (5', 63') as the Los Angeles Galaxy defeated the Colorado Rapids 3-1 on the road.

At Seattle:

Scott Sutter's equalizer in the fourth minute of second-half stoppage time enabled Orlando City to gain a 1-1 road draw with Seattle.  Will Bruin scored for the Sounders in the 19th minute.
