At Orlando, Florida:

In the lone Friday Major League Soccer contest, Hector Villalba's goal in the 86th minute and goalkeeper Brad Guzan's five saves for the shutout (in his first MLS match since 2008, when he was with the late, lamented Chivas USA) carried Atlanta United to a 1-0 road win over Orlando City in the league's first meeting of Southeastern clubs since the demise of the Miami Fusion and Tampa Bay Mutiny after the 2001 season.
