MLS: Philly Gains 1-1 Road Draw With SKC

At Kansas City, Kansas:

In the lone Thursday Major League Soccer contest, Roland Alberg's successfully-converted penalty kick in the 69th minute lifted the Philadelphia Union to a 1-1 road draw with Sporting Kansas City.  Diego Rubio scored for the hosts in the 49th minute.  Union goalkeeper John McCarthy made six saves to help the guests gain that point on the road.
