UEFA Champions League

12 games were contested on Wednesday as the second round of UEFA Champions League continued.

At Nicosia, Cyprus:

Facundo Bertoglio scored the only goal of the match in the 72nd minute as APOEL FC took the opening game of their series with Luxembourg's F91 Dudelange 1-0 at home.

At Vilnius, Lithuania:

Serge Nyuiadzi (71') and Mantas Kuklys (85') each scored a second-half as Zalgiris Vilnius took the opening contest of their series with Ludogorets Razgrad 2-1 at home.  Anicet Andrianantenaina put the Bulgarian club on the scoreboard in the 18th minute.

At Tiraspol, Moldova:

Ziguy Badibanga's successful penalty kick in the 79th minute produced the game's lone tally as FC Sheriff took the opening game against visiting Kukesi 1-0.

At Jurmala, Latvia:

Patrick Twumasi scored the only goal of the match in the 73rd minute as FC Astana knocked off Spartaks Jurmala 1-0 on the road in the opening match of their two-game series.

At Barysaw, Belarus:

Alexei Rios scored both goals in FC BATE's series-opening 1-1 draw with visiting Alashkert.  Alexei scored for his own club---the hosts---in the 43rd minute.  Unfortunately, he also scored an own goal for the Armenian club in the 78th minute.

At Zilina, Slovakia:

Andrija produced a natural second-half hat trick (68', 73', 82') as FC Copenhagen came from behind to overcome MSK Zilina 3-1 in the road in the opening contest of their two-game series.
At Beersheba, Israel:

Miguel Vitro (52') and Dan Einbinder (52') each scored once as Hapoel Be'er Sheva held off visiting Budapest Honved FC 2-1 in the opening match of their series.  Davide Lanzafame kept the Hungarian club's chances alive with his road goal in the 63rd minute.

At Malmo, Sweden:

Franz Brosson's goal in the 75th minute enabled Malmo FF to salvage a series-opening 1-1 home draw with Vardar.  Boban Nikolov scored for the Macedonian club at 62 minutes.

At Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina:

Marcos Tavares' own goal in the fourth minute of second-half stoppage time may end up proving critical as NK Maribor knocked off Zrinjski Mostar 2-1 on  the road in their series opener.

At Dundalk, Ireland:

Tore Reginiussen's equalizer in the 44th minute lifted Rosenborg BK to a series-opening 1-1 road draw with Dandalk.  David McMillan scored for the Lilywhites in the 18th minute.

At Hafnarfjordur, Iceland:

Adeshina Lawal's successful penalty kick in the 73rd minute carried Vikingur Gota to a series-opening 1-1 road draw with FH Hafnarfjordur.  Emil Palsson scored in the 49th minute for the hosts.

At Mariehamm, Finland:

Guilherme Costa Marques (PK-8'), Dominik Nagy (39'), and Kasper Hamalainen (44') each scored once as Legia Warsaw all but gained passage to the Champions League's third qualifying round with their series-opening 3-0 road domination of IFK Mariehamm.
