Two games in the quarterfinal round of the Copa Libertadores were contested on Wednesday.
At Santos, Brazil:
Jonathan Alvez scored the only goal of the match in the 67th minute as Ecuador's Barcelona SC, despite finishing the game with nine men, knocked off ten-man Santos 1-0 on the road in game two and won their two-match series 2-1 on aggregate.
At Porto Alegre, Brazil:
Lucas Barrios scored the game and series-winning goal in the 62nd minute as Gremio defeated visiting Botafogo 1-0 in game two and won their all-Brazilian series by that same score on aggregate.
