UEFA Champions League, Red Devils Prove Too Much For Basel Though Man U Loses Paul Pogba To Injury; Horses Knock Off Benfica On Road

Group-stage play in the UEFA Champions League opened on Tuesday with eight games, including two in Group A.

At Lisbon:

Timur Zhamaledinov scored the winning goal in the 71st minute as CSKA Moscow knocked off SL Benfica 2-1 on the road.  Fans of the hosts Eagles hold up their scarfs, as seen here.

At Manchester, England:

Marouane Fellaini (35'), Romelu Lukaku (53'), and Marcus Rashford (84') each scored once as Manchester United dominated visiting FC Basel 3-0.  The Red Devils won this game despite losing Paul Pogba (pictured here) to an injury.
