AFC Champions League

The final week of AFC Champions League group-stage play commenced on Monday with four games.

GROUP C:

At Tehran, Iran:

Morteza Pouraliganji's own goal in the third minute proved to be the only goal in Persepolis' 1-0 home win over Al-Sadd as both clubs are heading to the knockout stage.

At Dubai, United Arab Emirates:

Bobur Abdukhalikov scored the winning goal in the 48th minute as Nasaf Qarshi defeated Al-Wasl 2-1 on the road.

Final Group C Standings:

1. Persepolis (GP: 6; GD: +5; PTS: 13)
2. Al-Sadd (GP: 6: GD: +6; PTS: 12)
3. Nasaf Qarshi (GP: 6; GD: -4; PTS: 10)
4. Al-Wasl (GP: 6; GD: -7; PTS: 0)

Persepolis and Al-Sadd advanced to the knockout stage.



GROUP D:

At Kuwait City, Kuwait (due to deteriorating relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran)

Varya Ghafouri scored the only goal of Esteghlal's 1-0 victory over Al-Hilal in the 36th minute.

At Doha, Qatar:

Marcus Berg scored twice (58', 78') as Al-Ain knocked off Al-Rayyan 4-2 on the road to advance to the knockout stage.

Final Group D Standings:

1. Esteghlal (GP: 6; GD: +4; PTS; 12)
2. Al-Ain (GP: 6; GD: +4; PTS: 10)
3. Al-Rayyan (GP: 6; GD: -4; PTS: 6)
4. Al-Hilal (GP: 6; GD: -4; PTS: 2)

Esteghlal and Al-Ain advanced to the knockout stage.
