AFC Champions League

Group-stage play in the AFC Champions League continued on Tuesday with eight games.

GROUP A:

At Al Rayyan, Qatar:

Ali Ahmed Mabkhout scored twice (70', 90'+4) as Al-Jazira came from behind to knock off Al-Gharafa 3-2 on the road to lock up a berth in the knockout stage.

At Al Ain, United Arab Emirates (Due to deteriorating relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran):

Muhannad Assiri (49') and Moamen Zakaria (90'+2) each scored once as Al-Ahli of Saudi Arabia blanked Iran's Tractor Sazi 2-0 to clinch a knockout-stage berth.

Ismaeel Mohammad scored the only goal of the match in the 84th minute as Al-Duhail knocked off Zob Ahan 1-0 on the road.

At Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates:

Sardor Mirzayev scored twice (4', 39') as Lokomotiv Tashkent dominated Al-Wahda 4-1 on the road.

At Osaka, Japan:

Yoichiro Kakitani scored the winning goal in the 34th minute as Cerezo Osaka defeated visiting Jeju United 2-1 to knock the South Korean club out of the tournament.

At Buriram, Thailand:

Yoo Jun-soo's equalizer in the second minute of second-half stoppage time as Buriram United gained a 1-1 road draw with Guangzhou Evergrande.

Zheng Long scored for the Chinese club in the 20th minute.

At Suwon, South Korea:

Alex Brosque scored the winning goal in the 31st minute as Sydney FC kept their knockout-stage chances alive by dominating Suwon Samsung Bluewings 4-1 on the road.

At Shanghai, China:

Yuma Suzuki (58') and Leandro (63') each scored a second-half goal as Kashima Antlers erased a two-goal lead to gain a 2-2 road draw with Shanghai Shenhua and secure a berth in the knockout stage.

Giovanni Moreno (PK-13') and Mao Jianqing (28') each scored once for the Chinese club, now eliminated from the tournament.
