MLS: Red Bulls, Rapids, Galaxy, DCU, Hoops, Timbers Grab Saturday Wins; Quakes And Dynamo Draw In San Jose

Seven games were contested in Major League Soccer on Saturday.


At Harrison, New Jersey:

Bradley Wright-Phillips (5'), Alejandro Romero Gamarra (57'), and Michael Murillo (76') each scored once as the New York Red Bulls downed the visiting Montreal Impact 3-1.



At Commerce City, Colorado:


Jack Price (2') and Shkelzen Gashi (78') each scored once as the Colorado Rapids blanked visiting Toronto FC 2-0.


At Bridgeview, Illinois:



Zlatan Ibrahimovic used his noggin in the opening minute of first-half stoppage time as his goal provided all the scoring in the Los Angeles Galaxy's 1-0 road win over the Chicago Fire.



At Annapolis, Maryland:



Ulises Segura's goal in the opening minute held up as ten-man DC United gathered their first win of the season, 1-0 over the visiting Columbus Crew.


At Foxborough, Massachusetts:



Jacori Hayes' goal in the 76th minute proved to be all the scoring in FC Dallas' 1-0 road win over the New England Revolution.



At Portland, Oregon:



Alvas Powell (20'), Diego Valeri (23'), and Fanendo Adi (74') each scored once as the Portland Timbers held off visiting Minnesota United 3-2 in their home opener as they picked up their first victory of the season.



At San Jose, California:



Magnus Eriksson (26') and Jahmir Hyka (85') each scored once as the San Jose Earthquakes gained a 2-2 home draw with the Houston Dynamo.

Tomas Martinez (48') and Mauro Manotas (63') each delivered a goal for the guests.
