UEFA Champions League, Group F: Borussia Dortmund, Gunners Advance To Knockout Stage

Two games were played on Wednesday, the final day of action from the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.

At Marseilles, France:
Borussia Dortmund celebrate beating Marseille in the Champions League (Reuters)
Kevin Grosskreutz scored the winning goal in the 87th minute as Borussia Dortmund laid claim to the Group F title and a Champions League knockout-stage berth with their 2-1 come-from-behind win at ten-man Marseille.  Here are the happy Dortmund players celebrating after their victory that carried them into the Round of 16.

At Naples, Italy:

Despite being reduced to ten men and losing 2-0 on the road to Napoli, Arsenal still advanced to the knockout stage while the Light Blues had to settle for Europa League Round-of-32 action.  Napoli's goals came from Gonzalo Higuain (73', shown here) and Jose Maria Callejon (90'+3).

UEFA Champions League, Group F: Gunners, Dortmund Rack Wins; Three Teams Still With Shot At Knockout Stage; Marseille Eliminated From European Competition

Two games from Group F of the UEFA Champions League were played on Tuesday.

At London:

Jack Wilshire scored twice (1', 65', here's Jack scoring his second goal) as Arsenal blanked visiting Marseille 2-0, eliminating the French club from European competition while keeping themselves atop the Group F standings with one game remaining.

At Dortmund, Germany:Marco Reus scores a penalty for Borussia Dortmund against Napoli (Reuters)

Jakub Blaszczkowski scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 60th minute as Borussia Dortmund defeted visiting Napoli 3-1.

UEFA Champions League, Group F: Gunners, Napoli Pick Up Wins; Marseille Eliminated

Two games were contested on Wednesday in Group F of the UEFA Champions League.

At Dortmund, Germany:

Aaron Ramsey scored the only goal of the match in the 62nd minute (shown here as he beats Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller) as Arsenal defeated Borussia Dotmund 1-0 on the road.

At Naples, Italy:

Gonzalo Higuain scored twice (24', 75', that's him after celebrating his second ----and game-winning----goal) as Napoli kept pace with Arsenal atop the Group F standings (leval on points anyway) after their 3-2 home win over Marseille as the French club's hope of advancing to the knockout stage of the Champions League expired.

UEFA Champions League, Group F: Late Goal Stuns Gunners

Two games from Group F of the UEFA Champions League were played on Tuesday.

At London:

Robert Lewandowski (shown here) delivered the winning goal in the 82nd minute as Borussia Dortmund knocked off Arsenal 2-1 on the road.

At Marseilles, France:

UEFA Champions League , Group F: Dortmund, Gunners Grab Tuesday Wins At Home

Group F of the UEFA Champions League saw two Tuesday contests.

At Dortmund, Germany:



Robert Lewandowski (that's him celebrating here) scored twice (19', PK-80') as Borussia Dortmund dominated visiting Marseille 3-0.

Mesut Ozil (8') and Olivier Giroud (15', that's him celebrating after scoring) provided the scoring in the first quarter-hour as Arsenal blanked visiting Napoli 2-0.

UEFA Champions League, Group F: Gunners, Napoli Start Off On Winning Note

Action from Group F of the UEFA Champions League commenced on Wednesday with two games.

At Marseille, France:

Theo Walcott (65') and Aaron Ramsey (83', that's him celebrating) each scored a goal as Arsenal knocked off Marseille 2-1 on the road.

At Naples, Italy:



Gonzalo Higuain (29') and Lorenzo Insigne (67') delivered the scoring as Napoli held off visiting Borussia Dortmund 2-1.  Here's Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp, arguing with a UEFA official before he was ejected from the game.
