A 0-0 game-two stalemate on the road with Gamba Osaka was good enough on Wednesday for Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao as the Chinese club won their two-match series with the Japanese club 2-1 on aggregate.
The two-game Champions League final between Al-Ahli Dubai FC and Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao will open at Dubai, United Arab Emirates on November 7, with the return match set to take place at Guanghou, China on November 21.
The winner will then advance to December's FIFA Club World Cup, set to be staged in Japan.

At Dubai, United Arab Emirates:
Lima (17'), Everton Ribeiro (45'), and Kwon Kyung-won (90'+5) each scored a goal on Tuesday as Al-Ahli Dubai FC defeated visiting Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia 3-2 in game two of their AFC Champions League semifinal series and won the two-match set 4-3 on aggregate.
The club from the Emirates will play in the two-match final and will open the series at home on November 7 against the winner of the other semifinal series, in which China's Guangzhou Evergrande Taoboa currently lead Japan's Gamba Osaka 2-1 on aggregate.
