Red Bulls And Austria Draw In Vienna

At Vienna:

Christoph Monschein (67') and Erik Palmer-Brown (89') produced the scoring that enabled Austria Vienna to overcome two one-goal deficits to gain a 2-2 Sunday Austrian Bundesliga home draw with FC Red Bull Salzburg.

Patson Daka scored both of the Bulls' goals in the 7th and 70th minutes.

Leonardo de Vitor Santiago's stoppage-time equalizer (90'+1) enabled FC Red Bull Salzburg to gain a 1-1 Sunday Austrian Bundesliga road draw with Austria Vienna, enabling the Bulls to stay atop the league standings by one point over Rapid Vienna.  Tomas Jun scored in the 33rd minute for the fourth-place Violets, who blew a chance to move to within two points of the league lead.

Stefan Maierhofer scored twice (43', 90') as FC Red Bulls Salzburg dominated visiting  Austria Vienna 3-0 in Sunday Austrian Bundeliga action.  The win enabled the Bulls to jump two placed to third, two points behind Rapid Vienna and SV Ried.

Red Bulls Start Season On Right Foot

Jakob Jantscher (64') and Alan (66') delivered second-half goals two minutes apart on Sunday as FC Red Bull Salzburg blanked visiting Austria Vienna 2-0 in the opening Austrian Bundesliga contest for both clubs, who were coming off impressive Europa-League-second-qualifying-round-two-game-series-opening road wins.

Bulls Top Austria Vienna To Finish Second

Alan scored twice in the final fifteen minutes (77', 84') as Red Bull Salzburg came from behind to defeat Austria Vienna 4-2 as the Austrian Bundesliga campaign came to a close.  Both the Bulls and Austria will take part in the second round of qualifying for next season's Europa League.

UEFA Cup Qualifying: It's A One-Game Series, Now

Because of the continued fighting between Russia and Georgia, Thursday's originally scheduled opening match of the two-game set in the second round of qualifying for the UEFA Cup between SK Austria Vienna and WIT Georgia, to take place in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi, was cancelled on Tuesday. It will now be a one-match series, with the contest on August 28 in Vienna.
