Troy Deeney's goal in the 44th minute on Saturday lifted Watford to a 1-1 road draw in English League Championship play against relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest.  Garath McCleary scored at 19 minutes for Forest, who played their first match since last weekend's passing of owner and former board chairman Nigel Doughty.

Nigel Doughty, Owner and Ex-Chairman of Nottingham Forest, R. I. P.

Nigel Doughty, the owner and former chairman of the board of Nottingham Forest, has passed away at age 54.


Mr. Doughty was found deceased at the gym at his Lincolnshire, England home on Saturday.


A lifelong Forest fan, Mr. Doughty purchased the club in 1999, saving the club from administration.


He invested nearly 100 million pounds of his own money in the club, currently residing in the English League Championship.


After a decade as chairman, he stepped down last October after the firing of ex-England head coach Steve McClaren.
