More Woe For Wolves

At Wolverhampton, England:

Adlene Guedioura haunted his former club by scoring the game-winning goal in the 57th minute as Nottingham Forest stretched their English League Championship unbeaten run to four games with their 2-1 come-from-behind win over Wolverhampton on the road.  The defeat stretched Wolves' winless league run to eight games (five of them losses).

Forest Fall To Tigers On Road

At Kingston-upon-Hull, England:

Matt Fryatt scored what proved to be the game winner with his 81st-minute penalty kick as Hull City held off visiting Nottingham Forest 2-1 in Saturday English League Championship action.  The victory was not enough, however, for the Tigers to keep their flickering hopes of promotion alive, due to Cardiff City's 1-1 draw with Leeds United.

ROYALS CLINCH RETURN TO ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE AFTER DOWNING FOREST (WHO STILL AVOID RELEGATION)

Mikele Liegertwood scored the only goal of the match in the 83rd minute on Tuesday as Reading defeated visiting Nottingham Forest 1-0 for their sixth straight English League Championship victory and automatic promotion back to the Premier League, where they last played in 2008.  Thanks to results elsewhere, even with the defeat ,the Reds will stay in the League Championship next season.

Emotional Contest At City Ground Ends In 1-1 Stalemate For Forest and Hornets

Nigel Doughty, Owner and Ex-Chairman of Nottingham Forest, R. I. P.

Nigel Doughty, the owner and former chairman of the board of Nottingham Forest, has passed away at age 54.


Mr. Doughty was found deceased at the gym at his Lincolnshire, England home on Saturday.


A lifelong Forest fan, Mr. Doughty purchased the club in 1999, saving the club from administration.


He invested nearly 100 million pounds of his own money in the club, currently residing in the English League Championship.


After a decade as chairman, he stepped down last October after the firing of ex-England head coach Steve McClaren.
