Neymar Scored Twice As Santos Close Out Serie A Campaign With Home Win

At Santos, Brazil:

Neymar scored twice (PK-23', 39') as Santos closed out their Brazilian Serie A campaign with a 3-1 Saturday home win over already-relegated Palmeiras.

Fluminense, who finished atop the league standings, Atletico Mineiro, who finished second, sixth-placed Corinthians, who qualified as the tournament's defending champions, and Palmeiras, despite being relegated for next season to Serie B, because of their Copa do Brasil championship this year, all have qualified for the group stage for next year's Copa Libertadores.

Gremio and Sao Paulo, who finished fourth and fifth, respectively, will enter the Copa Libertadore's preliminary round.

The bottom four clubs, Sport Recife, the aforementioned Palmeiras, Atletico Goianiense, and Figueirense, all were relegated to the second-tiered Serie B.  Their places in the top flight will be taken by Goias, Criciuma, Atletico Paranaense, and Vitoria.
