Torino End Serie B Campaign With Scoreless Road Draw

At Bergamo, Italy:


Torino, who already clinched promotion to Serie A, battled relegated Albinoleffe to a 0-0 road draw on Saturday as the two clubs closed out their Italian Serie B seasons.  The Bull, along with Pescara, won automatic promotion to the top flight, while Sassuolo, Hellas Verona, Varese, and Sampdoria will take part in playoffs to determine the third promoted club.  Empoli and Vicenza will take part in relegation playoffs while Nocerina, Gubbio, and Albinoleffe were relegated to the third-level Liga Pro Prima Division (formerly Serie C1).

TORINO BACK IN SERIE A

Nnamdi Oduamadi (24') and Giuseppe De Feudis (83') provided the scoring that carried Torino to a 2-0 Sunday Italian Serie B home win over Modena, clinching automatic promotion to Serie A for The Bull.  Torino will be playing in the Italian top flight next season after a three-year absence.

Torino On Brink Of Returning To Serie A

At Turin, Italy:

Danilo D'Ambrosio (31'), Migjen Basha (52'), and Riccardo Meggiorini (81') provided the goalpower that carried Torino to a 3-0 Tuesday Italian Serie B home domination of Sassuolo, enabling the hosts to climb back up to the the of the league standings.  A win from either of their final two games (at home vs. Modena on Sunday and at relegated AlbinoLeffe on May 26) would lock up promotion to Serie A for the Bull after a three-year absence.
